Bought a Condo home in 2013 in Hamilton Heights, New York, NY.
Ivie is a great agent to have on your side. Ivie was referred to me by a friend and I am so glad I got to work with her. She always treated me well, was very prompt in replies and was always available for questions. She was easy to get along with and was very helpful throughout the whole process of searching and finding a place. Ivie is amazing! I got her information from a website online randomly, and I am happy to say that I could not be more grateful to have found her.
We kept in touch via email & texting until I made the move from California to Manhattan, we met up and she already had a list of places to show me. She was on time, prompt & professional. She found me places within my budget and most of them I liked. By the end of the first day, we had decided on applying to a place and it all worked out and I got the apartment.
Ivie was very helpful all the time, answered all my questions, and told me her honest opinion when I asked for it. She made sure I saw all of my options and if I had asked about a specific apartment she made sure she made phone calls to make sure I do see it.
I am happy to say that I love my NYC apartment and I got a good deal, all was possible thanks to Ivie! :)

The short review is that Ivie is Great!! Here is why... I had limited time to find a place because I travel a great deal. Ivie took me out two times for very long days to look at a lot of different possible apartments. While they were long days, we covered a lot of ground, good variety of apartment types and prices that fit my criteria. By seeing so many different apartments, it helped me hone in on what I really wanted. When we went out for the third search day, it was obvious which apartment was the best fit.
If not for Ivie’s prep work, patience, and thoroughness, I am not sure I would be as happy as I am with my present apartment. So I very happily recommend Ivie’s services.

Ivie Clifford is amazing. I do not know how I would have found my apartment in NYC without her. I’m not the type of person who writes reviews but after my positive experience with Ivie I feel like I need to let people know how much she helped me. I was relocating to NYC from Atlanta and had no idea what a crazy process searching for an apt in NYC could be. After speaking with friends I thought I had it narrowed down to two areas, the Upper West Side and West Village. I found Ivie from her listing online and decided to give her a call. We spoke on the phone for a while and I immediately got the sense that she was very knowledgeable about the NYC rental market. She suggested that we set aside a day to look at multiple apts so I could make the most of my time. After spending a day viewing apts in the neighborhoods I liked I was still not happy with what I was seeing. Ivie then suggested I look at Battery Park City because she knew that space was my main priority. The next day she showed me an amazing apt with water views and I put in an application on the spot. I’m so happy with my new home and know that I never would have thought to look in this neighborhood without Ivie’s suggestion. Navigating the NYC rental market can be a bit crazy but with a knowledgeable broker like Ivie you are guaranteed to find an apt you will be happy to call home.

2013 was my second year working with Ivie looking for a new apartment in New York City. As our lease from last year came up, she was the first person my roommate and I contacted. She has been nothing but professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with in every capacity. She is extremely knowledgeable as far as the city and market are concerned, and is very accessible at any time we've needed her. Not much else to say other than suggesting that if you have the chance to deal with her, do so. She has made the process simpler and easier and we're very appreciative of her time and help. When I was moving to NYC the prospect of searching for an apartment seemed daunting and made me anxious. Ivie was fantastic to work with. She was very professional, knowledgeable, thorough and responsive. She listened to all my feedback and adjusted our search accordingly. Once we found a place she was great in terms of communicating with building management and was even able to help me get a reduction on the rent. All in all it was a wonderful experience and it was a pleasure working with her. I will and have recommended Ivie.

Ivie was incredibly helpful and professional. She listened to what I wanted, accommodated my crazy schedule, and showed me many apartments in one day that met my criteria. The best was that she listened carefully as we visited possible apartments and adjusted the rest of the selections to match my clarity and her further understanding of the apartment I was seeking. She made what seemed like a daunting change in my life go smoothly. She was supportive (no pressure!) and even attended the lease signing to make sure that all my questions were answered. When the other agent I had hired was being very unresponsive and unprofessional, I found Ivie and she was wiling to meet me immediately. I explained to her how it was an emergency for me to find a place and she met me within 2 hours and showed me about 5 places on the first day. In a matter of 3 days we had seen about 15 apartments, until we found the perfect one. She let us know all the pros and cons of the one we liked to make sure we were making the right decision. She accompanied us on all the meetings we had to go to with the condo's dealer. Ivie is very polite and professional, a true pleasure to work with.

My experience with Ivie Clifford was excellent! I was moving from Europe and had an extremely limited time to search for an apartment. I commenced my search while still in Europe and due to the international nature of my move and the extremely tight timeline I had a large number of questions regarding the requirements for being able to rent in New York to which I needed answers in order to be able to prepare. I contacted several different brokers and Ivie was by far the most responsive! Not only did she go out of her way to respond to my complex questions via email but she even went as far as calling me in Europe to explain to me over the phone what my options were and how I needed to prepare. As a result of the very helpful responses I received in the lead-up to my move, I did not hesitate to contact Ivie upon my arrival in New York. She immediately arranged a meeting and the same afternoon she showed me no fewer than eight apartments. She was very attentive to my wishes and priorities and as a result the apartments she showed me corresponded very well to what I was searching for in terms of location, size, amenities and budget. She was as helpful in person as she was over the phone and answered all of my questions clearly and gave me honest responses concerning the realities of the tough New York rental market. In one afternoon I was able to find an apartment on which I was willing to place an application. Prior to the lease signing Ivie was once again very helpful and effectively communicated with the management company on my behalf about the status of my application. She also gave me clear answers and excellent advice regarding how, as someone moving from another country, I could best satisfy the document requirements. Thanks to all of Ivie’s effort my hectic move was made a lot less hectic than it otherwise might have been and I was within only a few days able to move in to my new apartment! For all of the above reasons I strongly recommend Ivie!
